This automatic brake will engage if there is ever a misalignment of the hitch, making the aspect of towing the trailer more secure. The lighting system for the hitch area allows you to make the perfect connection even in low light and dark conditions.
- Trailer Camera Package: Fleet operators can even opt for the trailer camera package when they get their Chevy Silverado rental vehicles. The Trailer Camera Package offers a comprehensive 270 degree view of the Silverado through the rear vision camera. The monitoring system also has temperature sensors which help prevent overheating blowouts in the trailer tires.
MyChevrolet Trailering App
Included with the purchase of the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 is the myChevrolet app that offers a step-by-step checklist for your towing needs right in your smart phone. It also allows drivers to conduct trailer light tests to make sure that the trailer has been properly connected. This feature eliminates the need for a second person to check that the connection has been made properly. Additionally, the app allows the driver to track the mileage, transmission temperature and fuel economy while towing a trailer.
